Today’s card is a very non-traditional Valentine card for my granddaughter and this blog’s namesake, Avery. Avery is 4 and loves to receive cards in the mail from her Nini. Cards for Avery and the other little ones in my life give me the opportunity to be fun and creative, thinking of things a 5 or under would find interesting. So today I used the Papers Players challenge # 180 Hide a tag as my inspiration.
About my card
1. This is all about being Retro Fresh. Retro fresh paper, washi tape and those so fresh arrows all on a retro fresh Tangerine tango card base. I followed the sketch very closely, just adding some interest on the top layer.
2. The tag pulls out and sports washi tape and cool colors.
3. Don’t forget the inside. I used the Perfect Pennants and the Banner Blast to adorn the inside and it is so true. Any day I think about Avery, and that would be every day, she makes me happy. Here’s a picture of Avery with her Princess doll collection, wearing a princess shirt. Pricesses are da bomb if you are 4. Just sayin.

Which one is Avery, and which ones are the dolls? I can’t tell the difference. 🙂 She is going to LOVE this card, Lynn! Anything active and fun will amuse her, but I know she’ll love it because you made it for her. Yay!
