A little birdie

Today’s card is for Tracie’s birthday, my sister-in-love’s.  My brother is 15 years younger than I am was only 6 when I married my first husband.  He and my other brother who was the wise age of 8 thought they were to refer to my new husband as their ‘brother-in-love’ and said so, whispering to each other in the bedroom next to where my new husband and I were staying.  I heard the whole conversation and the phrase has since stuck in the family.   : )

Tracie and my brother Pete live in California so I don’t get to see them very often but they are always in my heart, along with my nephew Riley who is now 3 1/2.  To see the card I made for Riley last Oct click here.  You can see the card I made for Pete this past April here.

I was really excited to be able to use a new framelit set called File Tab as well as a new hostess set called Hello Love.  The Little Birdie,, word bubble and the It’s your birthday all are from this stamp set.  I fussy cut out all the balloons are from the Big Wish stamp set.

How about those colors.  Do you recognize the green?  It’s the new Mossy Meadow, one of the new In Colors available June 2.  I paired it with Wisteria Wonder and Daffodil delight. The designer series paper is a piece of retired paper from 2012-2013 – I think and had Wisteria Wonder and Daffodil and looked great with Mossy Meadow.

I made this a pocket card using the Another Great Year stamp set.
