What I love – for Inking Royalty Blog Hop

So In Love

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s January Blog Hop!  Today’s So In Love Blog Hop is filled with inspiring projects that share ideas for Valentine’s Day or new products we love.  We are excited to share what we’ve made and hope you’ll find great inspiration from our talented team members in this hop.  After you read my post, I  hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

I opted to not do a Valentine card today, I know you’ll be see lots of them, so I went a different route with my project and focused instead on the products I love from Stampin Up.  I received a box chocked full of goodies yesterday and used them to give me inspiration for today’s project.

I love that I have so many choices with all the stamps, dies and colors.  Today I used the Sunburst die along with the coordinating Sunburst Sayings Stamp Set for the initial inspiration of my card.  I wanted a square card so I first cut the sunburst from card stock, then trimmed it so it was 4  x 4 square.  I used this then as a mask on a piece of the free Sale-a-bration DSP Perfectly Artistic and sponged in the releif with Daffodil Delight.

The sentiment is colored with Wild Wasabi, Daffodil Delight and Lost Lagoon markers cropped with a 1 – 1/4 circle punch.  The other layers are from the Lots of Labels die set, 1 – 1/2 circle punch and Floral Frames die with the Gold Glimmer Paper.

Once I looked at it all together it was still missing something so I added a piece of Lost Lagoon ribbon (retired).  It was still missing something so I went looking for some border stamps and landed on this cute one from Enjoy the Little Things.  Now it looked complete to me.

I finished it off with a hand made envelope using the Subtles Designer Paper Stack and the Envelop Punch Board and made a 5×5 envelope.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you’ll hop along to the next stop on the blog hop, Lisa Pretto at InkBig Academy Stamps . There’s lots of inspiration to be found in this group – and you don’t want to miss it!
